MEET Meredith  

Meredith was born and raised in Oklahoma and the itch to travel began as a teenager after visiting her grandmother's birth home in Northern Ireland. After studying abroad in college, she developed a desire to keep exploring and built a career in international development, which provided ample opportunity to travel and work abroad. Indeed, Meredith has lived in a wide variety of destinations, including Austria, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, and South Africa, and has traveled to a total of 50 countries worldwide. She's hiked Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, explored glaciers in northern Pakistan, and witnessed extraordinary African wildlife in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and South Africa. These experiences demanded curiosity, creativity, and the ability to navigate different cultures. Now, as a Cape Town–based travel designer, Meredith brings insider knowledge of Africa together with a truly global perspective. She understands the transformative power of travel—and how the right journey can open hearts and broaden perspectives.

Before joining Craft Travel, Meredith led multi-country projects in the international development sector, managing large-scale partnerships and complex operations. She holds a Ph.D. in international education policy and has managed multimillion-dollar budgets and large teams, experience that lends itself well to ensuring every client's needs are met. She is a thoughtful listener and meticulous planner—someone who anticipates needs before they arise and goes beyond the expected to deliver personalized, meaningful travel experiences.
